Naked Man Moleskin

So I was considering the lack of balance in the world today.  My mind went to the physical, something we have more control over – I felt the back gets less attention just given the nature of the AOs.  Balance is such a powerful concept, and the back is often overlooked.  Yet, I’d bet every man in this circle feels they are carrying more of a burden on their back than ever.  At work, people who don’t get it, and certainly at home….everyone has to take on more.  Now we have another ‘Back’ – Back to School – something we’ve heard for 30-40-50 years, every single time the calendar flips to August.  But this year it’s different.  The burden is high, the stakes are higher.  My wife and I get into it a bit pretty much daily  with our school board over decisions made, changed and re-made to what we believe is harmful to our children.  It’s frustrating and emotional.  But I also realized that any 2 people (or groups) are motivated by very different fears.
So It’s a reminder that everyone’s shoes are a little different.  Outside this circle, remember that and take 15 seconds to consider the fear (and hope) that drives someone else.  We’ll all be a little better off.
