Well that was a bizarre first year but a quick first year. thanks to flush and parks for getting me out here. Lost almost 25 lbs and Goldberg I know you’re right there with me. I’m not one for quick fixes and struggled with a consistent workout routine. Besides running, I hadn’t really done any workouts since college. As with many guys, the difference here was the comradery and extra push from the PAX. I have a few vivid memories of the early days…starting right before iron pax and commiserating with nacho libre that I wasn’t going to make it through one of the iron pax workouts. and then someone from South Carolina Qs the next day and we started with about 50 blockees. Remember death by merkins with Goldberg. And a crazy marine partner big boy workout with Twinning. Running my first sub 9 minute per mile 3 miler with moonlight. And the list goes on because all of you have pushed me at some point.

So when I think about those moments and what kept me coming, I think the best thing is the differences we have. Blues Clues did a Q a few weeks ago that centered on everyone’s home town. Obviously with my F3 name, I am from Naperville. But I really enjoy hearing About all the different places we are all from and learning from all of you. We all have something unique to offer the group and to support our brothers out here. There’s a lot of new guys out here at DT lately and we can all in our own way make sure they keep coming back. And for all of the guys that went out of their way to make sure I kept coming back. I just wanted to say thank you.
