Warm-O-Rama

F3 points noted then:

  • SSHs

The Thang

Thang Ghosts 1&2 (Jacob Marley & Christmas Past):

[carry heavy burdens and recall Thangs we’ve done all year]

One PAX wears Jacob Marley’s Chains (50# of fire hose) and drags sled up hill, while remaining PAX do exercises until return – each PAX made 3 trips up the hill, and exercises included:

  • burpees
  • Hand Release Merkins
  • TacSquats (deep with slow 3 count cadence descent)
  • SSHs
  • Merkins
  • Hydraulics

Thang Ghost 3 (Christmas Present):

[remember we’re in this together – as unit]

Cincinnati Sausage Makers

  • PAX lined up single-file.  Lead PAX performs 10 Merkins (while others do SSHs), then pulls to side counts to 15 and rejoins at end.  Remaining PAX mosey until last lead rejoins, and process repeats.

Thang Ghost 4 (Christmas Future):

[remember a strong core and flexibility will pay dividends later in life]

Mary

  • 20 LBCs
  • 20 Shoulder Taps
  • 15 American Hammers
  • 15 BigBoys
  • 10 Boxcutters

Head-to-Toe Stretch routine

Circle of Trust

Picked up the Q last minute from Urban Cowboy (prayers that he gets over illness in time for Christmas), and remembered I Q’d The Bear last Christmas Eve – made a modified repeat of last year. CoT was a simple: Merry Christmas (wind chill was -19, so quickly adjourned to CoffeeterIA after some on-site Fireballs!)

Naked Man Moleskin

My rule is no workouts where temps go below -20 wind chills, and this was close! Appreciated seeing Scud and Brother Bluto, and for getting Ghost Pepper back out ITG after baby time kept him away. The weather was no fun for working with a rigid unruly firehose – almost took out Scud when YHC tripped on it and lost the sled. Also, running in the cold requires solid face-covering (we all rigged up Ghost Pepper when his face covering needed fixing). Thanks to Brother Bluto for the 6 & on-site Fireballs, and thanks to Scud for hanging behind to pick up the gear and load into the truck. Merry Christmas!
