Introduction
BDVQ and MANNIVERSARY held at a special location, Patriots Park! We will be challenging each other and working as a team to get through this one. Bring coupons and running-shoes for pavement, and a vest if you’re up for the challenge.
Warm-O-Rama
WOR was a simple one consisting of tappy taps, abe begotas, hammy plank stretches, rotating plank stretches, and deep lunges.
The Thang
The thang:
Split into two teams of 5 and set up 3 different stations around the loop. The two teams have to run to the station, in opposite directions to prevent overcrowding. All runs are indian runs. All counts below are for the whole team to hit (so for example if it’s 100 merkins one person can do 90 and the five other people can do 2). The whole point is communication, teamwork, and pushing each other. The counts below are going to times the people (so 5 people on a team and it is 10x then it’s going to be 50 of something).
-Station 1 – Playground: 50 pull ups, 100 durkins, 150 dips
-Station 2 – Small hill: 15 wheelbarrows up the hill
-Station 3 – Parking lot (where we’ll leave coupons): 150 thrusters, 150 rows, 150 goblets, and 150 curls
Rinse and repeat and we’ll see who’s the winning team within a 40 min period – Winning team did it 2.5 times around.
Then follow me to a hill in the sub-division right behind and we ran the hill until the cows came home. Then back to the parking lot for some Mary; flutter kicks, american hammers, leg lifts, and merkin ring of fire.
Circle of Trust
COT focused on the first part of Maniversary, being a MAN. As St. Paul said, as a child you do childish things and think in childish ways but as you grow up you need to drop childish things. I have dropped a lot of childish things over this past year, staying up late, eating like garbage, and not having a fraternity i can count on. Do not let society tell you what a man should be, a man is protector, a provider, and a leader. It’s been this way for thousands of years and it should never change. So go out there and be a man.
Naked Man Moleskin
Thank you to the 9 other PAX that came out! Really appreciate the push, especially from Splice and Tremor doing their first BDs! Thanks to my actual brother, Bassmaster, for getting me into this whole thing. One year down, many more to go.
