The Thang

Mosey with coupons to Centennial Beach parking lot.  Split into teams for some friendly competition.

Team 1: Sparkler, Snorkle, Harbaugh, Baby Hands, Wide Right, Trickle, Chain Link, Blart

Team 2:  John Denver, Serena, House Arrest, Tonka, Uncle Rico, Bassmaster, Glenn

Stay with your teams the whole time.

Thang 1:

Indian run / Baton Death March race along trail to Jefferson and back (approx .9 mi) – last guy does 5 merkins before sprinting to the front of the line.

Relay Races:

  1. Relay where one Pax side lunges with coupon to end of parking lot and back, tagging the next guy.  Rest of pax do 50 burpees
  2. Relay where one Pax does gorilla walks down and back while everyone else does 100 overhead press and 100 curls.  After the 1st pax went, we had to shorten the distance for the gorilla walks because they were brutal!

Prison Indian run (Run with hands behind your head) – same route.  Again, realized very quickly that it is not sustainable to run that way for that far at that pace!  Switched to normal run after about .25 mi

Thang 2:

Relay Races:

  1. Farmer carry 2 coupons down and back
  2. Sprint down and back while rest plank

Split into pairs and farmer carry 2 coupons back to the flag, switching off as needed.

Circle of Trust

My first post in F3 was on August 1st and I am about to cross the 100 milestone.  I have always cared about my fitness to a certain extent but mostly, it had been about maintaining and simply treading water so I don’t let myself go.  I had been stuck in neutral for years and years.  At the same time, I’ve always been envious of the people I see who are super fit and always wondered why I can’t be that guy, but what I didn’t realize was, I wasn’t putting in the work.  It was never about actually getting better or stronger or faster or healthier until I joined F3.   I’m 41 years old and i’m in the best shape of my adult life and more mentally strong than ever.

Coming to F3 has helped me grow in every aspect of my life, beyond fitness.  It has made me a more confident person. It has made me introspect more and figure out the areas where I need more growth.  I believe I have only scratched the surface and coming out here, surrounding myself with strong leaders like yourselves and constantly chasing you, only helps me accelerate faster.
I was about 2 months into F3 and I remember my first BD post was by accident.  I was very confused when I HC’d to the BD and then I saw another pre-blast at Dark Tower so I HCd to that as well.  Baby Hands was on Q and lets just say, he made sure I was going to attend the BD.  I was most certainly the 6 most of that day and many other days but I also realized that I have way more left to grow.
When that alarm goes off at 4:30am and all i want to do is turn it off and roll over, I think of all of you who have set the standard. There are so many PAX, many of you who are here, who have supported and inspired me over the past 8 months that I can’t thank you enough.  Thank you all.

Naked Man Moleskin

When I think of black diamonds, I feel like there is almost always a moment where I want to keel over or puke!  During that prisoner indian run, I certainly felt like I was going to puke. haha

TCLAPS to Chainlink, Blart and whoever from team 2 who had to do the full gorilla walks – I underestimated how hard those are.

TCLAPS to Baby Hands for reaching his final day of 75 hard!

Welcome to the BD crew Bassmaster, who just completed his 2nd post and crushed the BD!
