Introduction

We move at 0500. It’s just an extra 15 minutes. Don’t be weak-minded. You are stronger and faster than you think.#NeverMissAMonday

Warm-O-Rama

0500 came quickly for a Monday morning but we wait for NO MAN! We took off around to the base of the hill and over to the parking lot of the Naperville Parks Dept building. Circled up for Downward Dog Foot Taps IC x 15, Step Back Lunge+Open into Low Horse+Step Back Up IC x 15, SSH’s IC x 20.

The Thang

We turned around and took off north, headed towards Naperville North High School. What should have been under a 1 mile run (around 7:30/mile pace) took a little turn when YHC realized we were not on Mill St which is a direct route. Thought a quick right turn would get us on track but actually went the other way. So it was a 1.5 mile run up to the high school. Thankfully Baby Hands and the 6 made a few correct guesses on the turns we took so all of us made it to the destination.

There are some long diagonal school bus parking spots at the school. Each Pax claimed their own space for some 11’s. 1 Squat Twist (L+R=1)…Broad Jump…10 BBSU Get-ups…Bear Crawl. Once finished, run laps around the lot for the 6. This Thang took a bit of time so was the one and only.

Pax ran back towards the Tower. With some time still left we tried to sneak in a little bit of Thang 2. A little 4 Corners Escalator action in the parking lot back by Centennial Beach. 2 Burpees, Run, 2 American Hammers, Run, 2 Low Bear Pose Toe Taps, Run, 2 Hydraulics, Run, Some got to 4 or 6 and then it was time to head towards Flags.

Circle of Trust

3 years of F3 Naperville has flown by. Well, I’ve only been a part for 2 years and a month but time has flown by. Am thankful for FIB and his merry men who launched this community here. Thankful for all the SLT members that have come and served and helped grow this region to a point where 1,000 unique men have come for at least 1 workout. F3 has meant a ton to me and my life. While it has served a purpose for being a fitness group and a place where I can exercise and remain physically active, it has been so much more. I think one of the highlights has been finding other men for whom to chase. To chase around the lots and trails and hills as we focus on our King. To chase on nutrition and diets and weight-loss journeys as we focus on our Queen. To chase out amongst our communities as we strive to serve and give back and be a positive beacon in our little worlds we live. To chase out in the workforce as we pursue success during our ‘day jobs.’ To chase as High Impact Men – being role models for our Shorties, being loving and supportive of our M’s, and being good and kind to our friends, families and all other relationships. We are all on different parts of these journey’s whether we know it or not. Whether it’s through listening to CoT’s, mumblechatter during a mosey, or sharing stories over a coffee, F3 has provided me a place to sharpen my tools in all aspects of life and continues to keep me grounded and humbled even when I think I may have figured something out. Proud to be an F3 Man!
