Circle of Trust

Walter Payton was know for his intense hill workouts…

He was maybe the greatest all around football player of all time. Unfortunately, he died young at the age of 45. This story is another reminder of the F3 What-What…What happens when I die? What does that mean in how I live my life each day?

Gentlemen, I was reminded of not actual death but the death of my marriage as 7 years ago almost to the day I was walking out of the church with my wife as happy newly weds…7 years later to the day, we were walking out of the court house divorced.

So I share some quotes from Walter Payton to serve as reminders of how we might answer the What-What ahead…with hard work and some fun too…

“I want to be remembered like Pete Rose, “Charlie Hustle”. I want people to say where he was, he was always giving it his all.” -Walter Payton

“Never die easy, why run out of bounds and die easy? It carries into all facets of your life. It’s okay to lose, to die, but don’t die without trying, without giving it your best.” -Walter Payton

“Well they call me Sweetness…

And I like to dance…running the ball…is like making romance…

We had the goal since training camp…to give Chicago a super bowl champ…

And we’re not doin this…because we’re greedy…

The Bears are doin it…to feed the needy…

We didn’t come here…to cause no trouble…

We just come here…to do the super bowl shuffle…” -Walter Payton

Prayers.
