Introduction

Excellent morning – cool, just a hit of rain to keep it clean. Excited to try this new spot and take a bit of a trip from the usual park. Here’s the pre-blast:

PRE BLAST black panther 5/6 0515
Got something cooked up that’s a calorie burn (read: cardio). We’ll get our arms in there too. And legs.
  • Pavement shoes (we’ll be clocking just over 2 miles running)
  • Gloves
  • Chatter
  • Good looks
HIGHLY recommended you arrive at 5:10 to stretch the legs.

Warm-O-Rama

leg and arm warmers since that is what we used today: SSH, Imperial Walkers, Arm Circles

The Thang

Run 1.1 miles to a little park north of BP in the housing subdivision there. Tiny park where we’d do the following:

Ascending/Descending reps:

20 derkins, 2 Burpees, 18 derkins, 4 burpees, all the way until reversed.

Then run back.

Circle of Trust

CoR, Announcements, NoR, Prayers

Naked Man Moleskin

Today we did exercises that had reps moving up, and reps moving down. In some cases, it made things easier, others, we knew it would get harder the further we went along. But we all knew at some point this would end. And it was for our betterment. That was on purpose.

Life, like our exercises, has ups and downs. I find myself in a particularly deep valley right now. Some days better than others, but it’s a low valley. There are times I want to quit, thinking it’ll end the hardship I face, just like the strain of endless burpees. But I know if I stop, the outcome will be much worse. By persevering, it will be for our betterment. A wise friend told me that I would be in much worse situation if I didn’t commit and continue with F3.

So when you face your downs, or your ups, stick with it. Push through it. Find brothers around you to push you, encourage you, motivate you, and in many cases, do the reps with you and for you when you just can’t. There is an end, a good end, and the benefit of sticking with it will reveal itself in time. Results don’t come overnight (did you think I got this svelt body in one day? It actually took two).
