Introduction

I made the peaceful 15 minute drive through the country roads arriving at The Wood early to set up.  A quick mosey to the base of the hill to set up my table & F3 “Deck O Cards” & did a test run over Mt. Beast.  The PAX began to arrive & it was great to see some familiar faces from my original pre-workout a few weeks ago where many of the the men were FNG’s that date.

We did a little 5 principles & F3 credo before we quickly got to work with some warm-a-rama….

When I was hear 2 weeks ago I talked about the 3 F’s & I also spoke a little bit about the Q-Source & the 4 quadrants:  Get Right, Live Right, Lead Right, & Leave Right.  Many of you accepted my challenge that day to embrace the 1st F & continuing to show up to live in the 1st two quadrants of Get Right & Live Right.  Today I challenge you to start considering that third quadrant of Lead Right.  We need you men around here to help accomplish the mission of “invigorating male community leadership” weather that is getting more friends/neighbors out, having a coffee with a struggling brother, & also stepping up to lead workouts.  6 weeks into my F3 journey a man by the name of Bob Ross grabbed me in the parking lot after a workout.  He said, “Dilly Dilly I have been watching you.  You have leadership ability my friend.  Don’t keep that all for yourself.  We need you, these men need you to step up & lead.”  Two weeks later I was executing my first Q as the leader of the workout & have never looked back.  Don’t be afraid to lead men.  The notion of “born leaders” is false.  Leadership is a skill that all of us possess it is just a matter if you want to practice & work on that skill to improve it.  So like I did a couple weeks ago my challenge for you today is what will you do to be a leader weather that is getting more men out, helping a fellow F3 brother, or maybe stepping up to lead a workout.”  Like Bob Ross said to me men, we need you to lead.  Aye!

Dear lord, thank you for this opportunity to wake up early in the gloom & experience your greatness.  We are humbled for the opportunity you give us every day to be in your glory & serve you as leaders in our communities.  Watch over those in our spoken prayers as well as those that are in our hearts that are not as fortunate as many of us & give them healing & strength in their struggles.  In your name we pray.  Amen!
