Introduction

EC run departure at 4:40am RC run starts at 5:15am.
You’ll get a solid 40 minutes to accomplish your targeted mileage tomorrow. State it with your HC, 3.5 mile minimum . I’ll have routes for 3.5 to 6.0 miles, my goal tomorrow is EC 3.0 miles, RC 5.0 miles. Find your group, push each other and if you get back to DT early, loop the hill (1/4 mile each loop) until its time for the stretch. HC and goal in the thread below. LFG!

Warm-O-Rama

ALOT of HC’s for EC, Muggsy, BallBoy, WideRight, ThumbDrive, BluesClues, ElmerFudd made the 4:40 departure time. YHC figured there were more that would roll in and other groups would form. Great EC push by everyone today. YHC was feeling the previous nights soccer game in the knees and ankles, couldn’t help but look for a little sympathy on the EC run. I mentioned it, no real response from the group, thought to myself okay keep pushing. Then I asked Muggsy if he was doing the Patriot challenge, he said yeah, the first week I ran 52 miles, I replied WTF Muggs and decided to change the subject. Original EC path was too icy, called an audible and took the roads to downtown Naperville. Overall most got 3+, believe Muggsy and BallBoy got 3.5 ish, YHC at 3.25. Ready for round 2.

32 PAX showed up by 5:15 with goals stated and a mission to accomplish. A few SSHs, high knees and butt kickers for 2 min. Instructions given, groups formed based on mileage targets and hit the road by 5:18

Circle of Trust

Nothing special here, set goals, try to meet or exceed them. Very icy conditions this morning but I truly believe the support of others makes it easier to meet those goals. Set an intention for the day, appreciate the opportunities you have and love those around you. Thank you for coming out.

Naked Man Moleskin

Last week YHC squeezed in 5.7 in 40 minutes, that was going to be difficult to break this time as the legs were feeling a little rubbery. Decided to try and add an EC on top and a slightly less mileage distance. My previous long for a run club was an 8 miler with Curds, in which we did a 4M EC and 4M RC. Today was a 3.25 EC and 5.25 RC so felt good about that. Also felt great to see so many guys running together, mumble chatter about exceeding goals and seeing 30+ to stick around after to catch up. Looking forward to the warmer weather and watching HIMs accelerating.
