Introduction

Just a bunch of HIM galavanting around Dark Tower chasing YHC.

Then we got right into THE THANG!

The Thang

Fartlek (“speed play”) style loop around the Riverwalk. Loop was ~ .7 mile, and we ran at 50%, 85%, 75%, and then 100% sprint straight up the hill.

Most PAX got in 3-4 laps.

8 minutes of burning Mary, AMRAP EMOM style. We ran each exercise for a minute for eight straight minutes; no rest until Recover Recover.

Circle of Trust

Today is a bit of an exhortation. I’m speaking mainly to myself, but I hope this resonates with at least a few of my brothers.

We’re out in the gloom regularly; we’re putting in hard work. But the fact remains, we can’t out burpee a Big Mac. We can’t out sprint a vodka soda. We can’t out bear crawl a bag of Doritos. We can’t out Welsh Dragon a Double Whopper w/ bacon.

So, let’s talk about the other 80%. I’m talking about DIET.

I encourage each of us to pay a little more attention to our diets, and how we nourish our temples.

  • What areas of our diet can be cleaned up?
  • Which foods can we do without?
  • Where can we find more balance?
  • What can we eat more of?
  • What can we eat less of?
