The Thang

Thang 1 w/partner
This is a 2 man relay with coupons across the parking lot to the bike path and follow path to the south side of the hill (it’s a hike).
Partner one starts the hike-farmer carry 2 coupons while partner 2 does 25 merkins and then races to partner one to take the coupons and continue to farmer carry while partner 1 does 25 merkins.  This continues until you reach the south side of the hill rotating between merkins and squats (25).

Circle of Trust

My company recently conducted interviews for internal promotions and I was part of the interview panel. Over three days I conducted or was a part of 19 interviews.  These are long days that leave you absolutely wiped – mentally drained at the end of the day.  But I love it.  I always walk away re-energized, re-focused and re-committed to my craft.
After all interviews were completed, the panel met to discuss and share their thoughts and opinions and ultimately, select those we felt earned promotions.  Over the course of the next few days, I met with those that did and didn’t earn promotions to offer my congratulations and/or feedback.  For those who didn’t earn a promotion this go-round, I did my best to give specific feedback back and suggestions on what could be done over the next set of months to better prepare them for next time.  And here’s the thing I really wanted each of them to hear … you didn’t get or not get the promotion because of the interview.  The interview is simply the highlight reel of your accomplishments the prior year.  You really started interviewing for this job a year ago (or whenever, depending on the person).  Promotions, specifically internal promotions, are awarded based on the actions, attitude, communication and performance that you display each and every day.  The interview is just an opportunity to highlight what you’ve done.  My point is, treat each day like you’re interviewing for the  next level.  Whether at work, home, in the community … wherever you are, make sure your actions and your words represent the best version of you.  You’re always on an interview.

Naked Man Moleskin

This wasn’t an easy BC.  Thanks to all those who showed up – everyone put in the work and we all got better.
As a bonus, coffetteria was excellent.  It was so good to reconnect with some folks we haven’t seen in a while.
