Introduction

Great morning to kick off March with. Clear, crisp and only slightly icy in a couple spots which meant it was game on (no modifications necessary!)

Warm-O-Rama

Keep it simple:

  • Good Mornings
  • Arm Circles
  • Abe Bigotas

The Thang

Kick it off with the most akward of runs, the ‘Backwards’ Indian run. Just like it sounds, we broke into two lines and started a backward run with the back guy turning and running to to the front of the line. Along the way we switched to a ‘sideways shuffle’ Indian run and eventually back to a regular Indian run as we made our way back to the flags while dodging a little ice and mubble chattering along the way.

Next up, we grabbed the coupons and headed off to he big lot next door for the Thang.

Doracides – One of my absolute favorites for it’s simplicity and ability to keep you non-stop moving for a solid length of time. We partnered up (unfortunately Powerpuff and I were stuck with Onions) and got to work!

  • 50 Burpees
  • 100 Squats
  • 200 Curls
  • 300 SSH
  • 400 Chest Press

We had a couple groups getting after it so they had the pleasure of starting back down the latter once they completed and got to do a few extra SSH. We wrapped it up an all Pax OYO of 50 more chest press for good measure before heading back to the flags for mary.

Mary was also simple:

  • American Hammers
  • LBCs
  • Box Cutters
  • Swimmers

Circle of Trust

Over the weekend, as part of my church small group, we watched a speaker who was going through his own struggles and reminded us of the challenges of 2020 and life in general and that we all find times in our lives when we need help. And we should seek out help, whether that comes from reaching out to friends for support or advice. It might mean we need meds to give us the ability to get through the day-to-day and any number of other ways that we can seek and get help. But there’s also the recognition that we were made by our creator to live a life to the fullest and usually, even with help, we can only get ourselves so far on that journey and we shouldn’t put the weight of that burden entirely upon our own shoulders. Our help can and will be in the natural (the here and now), but our HOPE should be in our creator who made us and will give us everlasting life. We will go through hard times and we will struggle and need help, but our HOPE will be in our Lord and savior.

We lifted up Zima’s friends Holly and Rick who’ve been battling health issues for Holly for a while and recently found out she has a lung cancer in both lungs. We also lifted up all those prayers left unsaid, but in our hearts and for the strength and guidance to get throughout our day, week, and months ahead. In his name, Amen.

Naked Man Moleskin

I need recommendations on a solid bluetooth speaker. Apparently my trusty one that I’ve used for a while now can no longer be trusted as it’s battery crapped out 5 minutes into the workout after being on charge all night for the second workout in a row. Disappointing…. but not as disappointing as being partnered with Onions.

And congrats to Tonka who is now Comms Q and First F Q. Man’s a beast and a true HIM and I fully expect him to be announced as the entire Leadership 4.0 group in the coming weeks, but I still remember his first workout at Holy Hill a little over a year ago where he showed up right as we got started, worked out the whole time with us, and it wasn’t until we got to Name-o-rama that we realized he was an FNG. Classic.
