Ben Greenfield’s Optimized Recharge Routine

  1. Start with an Attitude of Gratitude, thinking about what you are grateful for
  2. Tibetan Rites -> Spin to the Left “I am full of energy”
  3. Tibetan Rites –> Leg Raises “My mind is clear and calm”
  4. Tibetan Rites –> Kneeling Backbend “I am flexible and receptive”
  5. Tibetan Rites –> Tabletop Raises “I am strong and balanced”
  6. Tibetan Rites –> Upward/Downward Dog “I am positive and motivated”
  7. Tai Chi –> Door of Life arm swings

The Thang

Split into 2 teams

  1. Race to move all the things (sandbags, coupons, kettlebells, balance ball, medicine balls, etc.) from one side of parking lot to other, for time
  2. Medicine ball toss, least amount of throws to cover the distance wins
  3. Medicine ball backwards toss, least amount of throws to cover the distance wins

NY Times Scientific Perfect 7 minute workout (30 sec work followed by 10 sec break)

  1. Side Straddle Hops
  2. Merkins (most individual reps wins point for their team)
  3. LBC’s
  4. Step-ups
  5. Squats (most individual reps wins point for their team)
  6. Tricep Dips
  7. High Plank hold
  8. High Knees
  9. Reverse Lunges
  10. Merkin Rotation
  11. Side Plank hold

 

HIIT 10 min Circuit

  1. Mosey out 40 yards and sprint back (this person is the timer to signal rotation)
  2. Lateral Plyo raises Left Arm
  3. Lateral Plyo raises Right Arm
  4. Ab Crunch Milkbox hold
  5. Kettlebell Swings
  6. Rope waves
  7. Plyometric squat drops (step off bench and stick landing without continuing to move)
