Introduction

YHC needs to try to get out to play more on Mondays and get the week started right. One way to help hold myself accountable is by putting myself down on the Q sheet.

Checked the weather before getting off to bed and saw snow in the forecast – this was not planned, so YHC started thinking of ways to improvise.

Woke up and got over to the lot around 5:00 and sat in the car to finalize the plan. Rusty pulled in shortly after, followed by the rest of the PAX.

Around 5:10, got out of the car – saw someone running laps in the lot, Ball Boy made it out – with a late HC. Good for him!

After a brief conversation with Clearcoat and 5Hole about shoes, YHC noticed it was 5:15 – time to roll!

Core Principles were shared, and disclaimer was given and off we went.

Warm-O-Rama

WoR was a lap around the lot, we stopped to do some arm circles on the way around followed by some shoulder stretches, just to get the body ready.

When we made it around the lot and back to our coupons, we did 10 Tappy Taps to just stretch out the legs.

Time to grab the coupons and mosey our way to the pavilion for Thang 1…

The Thang

Thang 1: DORA

So – this was a bit of a modified Dora – rather than giving out all exercises at the beginning, YHC gave them one at a time. Upon finishing, PAX were to hold plank until the rest of the PAX wrapped up that round.

The run was from the pavilion, to just past the dugouts (between the fields – there was a tree we ran to and turned around).

Exercises were as follows:

200 curls
150 overhead presses
150 Merkins
200 Dips

When everything was done, we made our way out to the warning track of the south field with our coupons for

Thang 2:

11s – by the warning track Curl Presses (start with 10), run to even with the dugout in the infield and do Big Boys (start with 1)

YHC made it to 5 curl/presses before calling it – Clearcoat maybe only did a couple rounds, but made some great snow angels – I’m sure they will show up on Insta…

After calling it – PAX grabbed their coupons and moseyed back to the flags – thanks @Rusty for keeping us safe and off as much hidden ice as possible.

Mary:

YHC wanted to find a way to roll around in the snow, but the lot didn’t quite have enough – should have stayed in the fields… live and learn…

Instead we did 20 Bobby Hurleys in cadence, followed by 10 painfully slow bobby hurleys in cadence.

Roll over for 20 swimmers in cadence, then stand up, stretch the hamstrings, and recover recover.

Circle of Trust

YHC gathered people around for a quick prayer – thanking God for the beautiful weather to have a bit of adult recess – not quite an epic snowball fight, but it’s still fun to get out and play in the snow. Special prayers were said for Rusty’s Brother, Handy Manny and his family, Flush and his family, all the PAX who are dealing with COVID, Sweet Gherkins for a speedy recovery, and forgiveness to Clearcoat for injuring him (in jest).

Naked Man Moleskin

For some reason YHC really struggled to sleep or come up with a good plan, however, it worked out in the end, and I thank the PAX for pushing me.

5Hole, S’mores and Sonny Bono – it’s great to see you, I think it’s been a minute or two since I’ve seen you at the Citadel (although, that’s on me for my own inconsistency).

Puddles – always a pleasure, and speaking of my own inconsistency, you don’t really even have to drop an HC anymore – people know you will be at the Citadel every morning

Ball Boy – good to see you out there this morning, congrats on the unintentional guilt trip you delivered when I caught you getting a lap or two in at the end when I was pulling out.

One-Eyed-Willy – SAFE!! That is all.

Rusty – thanks for steering me off the warning track and keeping everyone a bit safer, no need to slip and fall with a coupon on the shoulder.

Clearcoat – thank you for the snow angels. YHC wanted to build them into the workout and couldn’t figure it out, so glad you got some in!
