Introduction

I started this “labors of Hercules” series, and allowed myself to fall off. So time to FINISH IT.

Great weather this morning. High 20s . . . clear skies. No wind.

Baywatch was site Q filling in for a sick Speaker City . . . who was missed.

Total of 10 Pax, which was PERFECT for this Q. Included a surprise visitor Gilligan from Oklahoma City and stealth “couldnt sleep so might as well post” by our Nan ta’an Babyhands

Warm-O-Rama

The usual

The Thang

THANG 1

Hercules had to club the giant Geryon in order to capture the cattle.

  • DORA
  • One partner throws a tire roughly 40 yards and back.
  • The other partner was doing sledge hammer swings on the tractor tire
  • total of 2 trips throwing the tire for each PAX and 200 ish sledge swings.

THANG 2

  • Needed to go across the sea “the lagoon” and backtrack to sneak out with the cattle
  • Alternate fast walk and “runking with a purpose” to get around the lagoon to the stone bridge.
  • Then we”backtracked” (walked backwards) over the stone bridge.
  • Ruck to the Lisle Parking lot
  • Pick up the two telephone poles and hustled them back to the flags transitioning into Thang 3 involving Atlas . . . the titan that held up the heavens.

THANG 3

  • ATLAS HOLDS
  • I put two pipes on the inside of the tires and elevated them on two of the smaller tires to help PAX get started.
  • One PAX held a stopwatch and timed a PAX standing up straight and doing a static hold for time.
  • “Who will be the guy that lasts the longest for the Atlas hold??”
  • All other PAX had to do curls while waiting.
  • Everyone got a chance to do the hold twice.

Run a lap of the parking lot

Ring of fire with shoulder press while everyone else held coupons in rifle carry. 2 rounds, with the second round going in reverse

Circle of Trust

CoT is about following through and finishing tasks. I started this Labor of Hercules series, and let the holidays and work travel distract me from finishing it. Whether its at work, with our kids, with our M, or to each other and ourselves, finish what you commit to starting to and follow through. Our word is our bond, so dont let that be an empty promise.

Big props to Mellencamp, Cowbell, Speaker City and Sputnik who were asking me when I would finish the series. That accountability helped me finish it

Random musings  . . .

  • baywatch- Thank you for the message last night (as did Speaker) asking if I needed help with set up. Plus the breakdown afterward was spot on. Absolutely A+ work!
  • mellencamp- As always, appreciate your support. Even if it sounds horrible and you dont want to come. 😉
  • babyHands- I see you rushing to beat me on tire throws . . .  I see you. And way to set the tempo with Chainlink running with the telephone pole. “Who’s gonna carry the logs???”
  • Cowbell- I am amazed that you are a smoker and can still kick ass at BCs. I have issues breathing NORMALLY. I cant imagine doing this while having a Marlboro Red hanging off my lower lip . . .
  • ChainLink- As always, setting the pace for the rest of us.  Only you and BH can keep up a steady stream of mumble chatter while the rest of us are just trying to breathe.
  • “Gilligan”- Well . .  you will never see this, so who cares. You did a great job, and thanks for the compliment after that “no one in OKC does stuff like this”. Get some tires my friend, they are awesome. Speaking of, good luck at your conference this week! I’ll see you mid March when I am in Oklahoma for a week. Hell . . . maybe Ill see if a Q spot is open. (Just kidding . . .  maybe) Hey, can you recommend any cool restaurants in OKC? Im there selling wine, so I’d appreciate it. Wait . . . I forget . . . you will never ever ever read this. Crap. Oh well. Great meeting you anyways! 🙂
  • Mortimer- Holy crap. If you didnt have Achilles Tendon problems you would be THE beast to beat in F3. Great job on the Atlas Holds!!
  • Cable Guy- Please dont talk about the hernias. They are super gross. Just get them fixed already. Jeez. Plus I need to talk to you more about the new car, as Ill be buying a new ride this year.
  • Sun Devil- HELL YES SUN DEVIL IS BACK!!!!!  Really missed you brother! Glad you back ITG and posting. We are stronger with you!!

fantastic fun group of PAX this morning!! Thank you all for showing up!
