Circle of Trust

I shared with the PAX the story of how Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil in the early 1930’s in order to play the Blues. This happened in Clarksdale, MS at highways 61 and 49 (hence the reps we did today) AKA “The Crossroads”.

I also shared I got to experience this place first hand about 3 years ago. I remember how impoverished the area was, it was a dark and rainy night, grimy out really. The area was poor, broken down, desolate and abandoned for the most part. Very different feel in the deep delta of the Mississippi mud.

I parked and pulled up to one of the famous blues clubs in town and a young man greeted me. (There was really no body around, it was a weeknight, I was in town for work, and man, I was out of place in some ways)

He asked me how I was doing and I said great. I asked him how he was doing and he said, “I’m blessed sir.”

And that’s what I’m leaving you with today…

It hit me there no matter where you are, how rich or poor you may be, how sunny or rainy it is, light or dark, etc…you…can be blessed too.

This young man, despite what maybe he did not have…had a relationship with God. His SkyQ.

And that seemed to be all he needed…

Prayers.

Naked Man Moleskin

Big salute to Unplugged who was plugged in today and brought a back up speaker! Hard to hear the Blues when Blues Clues forgot his speaker at home! Appreciate the six brother.
