Prisoner Indian Run – Standard Indian Run, but with your hands behind your head and elbows out in the “peacock position”

Thang 2 – Santa’s Workshop Dora

Partner Dora – DIPS, Burpees, SSH’s, Squats

P1 does exercise while partner 2 runs up around Nichols library in an oval, and back to flower fountain where parteboth P’s do each exercise once

Circle of Trust

This weekend being around all my fellow Pax and their M’s at the Holiday party was a great time. But I think the part that affected me and to my surprise, my M, the most was Blart’s brief explanation of the WHY. He stated various reasons as to why what we do here every day makes no sense, but followed with a statement that started with “except”.  He finished by saying all of what we do here at F3, to the outsider would probably make no sense, “except” it’s exactly what we were designed to do, it’s exactly what we were made for. My M, in conversations that followed this weekend, said it was a) a much fancier affair than she envisioned (thanks to efforts of curds and our planners) and b) it was encouraging to hear “WHY” we do what we do and how what we are doing is impacting ourselves, our community and others for the better.  I know for me it’s exactly what I was made to do, and while I love it I know I can improve. So please let’s do AAR and let me know where and how I can improve.

Room for improvement : Give set count of reps for dora’s.  Leaving it open ended leaves room for PAX to slow down. Giving rep target gives a number to achieve.

The Good:  Kept it simple.

Naked Man Moleskin

I really enjoyed the workout today.  Both leading and being with the PAX that came out.  I’m working on my “promoting” and EH’ing skills for workouts, but at the same time, a smaller group often leads to better conversations and allows time to speak to someone individually and learn about them.  I remember from our GrowRuck in Naperville in Sept, DREDD said one of the most important things we can do as men to improve as leaders, learn about others and communicate effectively is ALR, ASK men questions.  LISTEN to what they say. REMEMBER what they said. Pretty simple. Yet I need to work a lot on it.  Glad to get an opportunity this morning.
