Circle of Trust

This time of year means different things for everyone. Some are happy to be caught up in the Holiday spirit. Some find this time of year discouraging or frustrating because of past memories, current struggles at home, work, etc. Wherever you fall on the spectrum try and go find a little bit of Christmas Magic today by being nostalgic about something. Maybe it’s a memory from childhood. Maybe it’s a favorite toy or gift you’ve received or have given. I heard a similar message at a recent yoga class and it resonated enough with me that I bought ingredients for Apricot Turnovers on the way home and we made those at home that evening. My family doesn’t really bake or eat a lot of Christmas cookies, but every year my Mom would make these and I always enjoyed their difference to all the other sugar and mint and chocolate cookies that were readily available everywhere. Encouraged the Pax that if they are starting to feel down with all the Christmas season stresses, to try and be nostalgic about something and hopefully that brings a moment of levity, lightness, or Christmas magic into their lives and those they are with that day.
