Introduction

🔥🛠🔥PREBLAST- THE CITADEL – 10/16/21 5:15🔥🛠🔥

@channel As the weather starts to cool down we will look to heat up THE CITADEL on Saturday.   Join YHC for a full-body beatdown.  Bring your determination, grit, and coupon.  We will enhance our cardio, strength and endurance.  Come get faster, get stronger, get better.  Come Get Some!  HC below.

I drew from my archive of BCs that I had previously done at The Citadel.  I got the song list ready to go and the speaker and phone charged (although the phone failed me) and I was ready to go.  Morning came early and it was 42 degrees with a real feel of 38.  Definitely the coldest of the fall so far.  I arrived early to set up and CVS was already there, doing laps in the parking lot.  PAX starting to flow into the lot.  We all circled up and it was time to get the show started.

Thang 1 – 4 min AMRAP – 25 Reps then run the bases

Divided into 2 teams.  Each round everyone would perform 25 reps of the given exercise for that round and then run the bases.  Once they completed their lap, they marked a point for their team.  Rinse and repeat until 4 minutes is up.  After each round, we tally up the points and the losing team does 5 Burpees.

As I circled up for WoR, I set my phone on the ground next to my speaker next to me.  About 2 exercises into the WoR I could see my phone shutting down on its own.  It was only 38 degrees outside.  I had charged my phone the night before and when I arrived at the lot, it was still at 100%.  How could it die in 15 minutes????  Luckily I had a pretty good idea of what my workout details were.  However, I was not able to tap into my music playlist for the workout.  Not cool.  I had noticed some sporadic battery issues the last week or so and began talks with the M on getting a new phone.  Heck I am 5 generations behind the latest as I am still working off of an iPhone 8 with the button on the screen.  I am convinced that ever since I started to talk about getting a new phone, “it” has been listening and is providing poor performance to help expedite my decision on purchasing a new phone.  Anyway, I was disappointed to not have my music and automated timer during the workout.  However, I improvised and we got through it.  Thanks to CVS for playing some tunes for the PAX.

Once again, a little team competition drove the PAX to give it their all and there was plenty of mumble chatter going on.  PAX took great joy in watching the losing team do their penalty burpees.

Everyone crushed it today.

I appreciate all that came out.

Until next Time
