Introduction

Glorious morning to get back on the horse (as it’s been a while since YHC has Q’d a BC). And oh what a morning it was.

Warm-O-Rama

Warm-o-rama (5 minutes)

  • Capri lap around the lot
  • Motivators from 7 (in cadence)
  • Good Mornings (done properly – slowly)

The Thang

Winner’s Lose Race

  • Partner Up – Look to find a partner that is roughly in similar physical condition as you are (this will be important). Once partnered up, pairs will ‘race’ from the flags to the other pavilion near book road. Keep track of who wins, there will be penalties. Do SSH for the six.
    • Winners – Do 20 burpees
    • Losers – Do seal claps until partner finishes 20 burpees

Group Race

  • Different format this time. Still a race, but goal is to finish together as a team (if you don’t stay together and I catch you then you get 100 burpees each). That said, it’s still a race so keep track of which teams finish in the top half and which teams are in the bottom half.
    • Winning half – SSH
    • Losing half – 50 merkins (must be completed in 90 seconds or less. 1 penalty burpee for every merkin not completed within 90 seconds).
      • Everyone successfully completed on-time. Nice work men.

Thang 2 (15 minutes)

Partner 11’s

  • Teams of two will complete 11’s by taking turns. The first partner will complete the rep (10 burpees, 1 big boy) while the other partner holds the coupon above their head. For the one holding the coupon, it has to stay above your head (not on it or below it) the entire time your partner is completing the rep. If it drops below, you must immediately do 2 burpees and then pick it back up. Once the partner has completed the rep, they switch spots and the one holding the coupon now does the rep (9 burpees, 2 big boys). Repeat the switch until complete with the entire set. Do SSH for the six.

Thang 3 (5 minutes)

Bear Brawls

  • 2 sets across the lot

Crabwalk Races

  • Losers do 20 big-boys, Winners do Grady Corns

Bear Crawl Races

  • Losers do 10 burpees, Winners do squats

Mary

  • American Hammers (in- cadence to 30)
  • LBCs (in-cadence to 30)
  • Heel Touches (in-cadence to 50)

Circle of Trust

Had to make it quick because I was supposed to be on a video call right now. 🙂 Today’s workout was about ‘winning’ and ‘losing’ and supporting others to achieve more. One of our credo’s that we repeat every day is “Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him”. Hopefully today was a reminder that we daily (sometimes hourly) get the opportunity to choose to focus on ourselves and what’s important to us or we can choose to serve others, but that chose is up to us.

1 Peter 4:10 – “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace, in its various forms.”

Today we proved that we can push ourselves AND push each other in support of each other. And this was just a workout. Imagine what our homes, workplaces, communities, and beyond would look like if we chose to do the same
