Circle of Trust

A lot of people think Cinco de Mayo is the day to celebrate Mexican Independence…that’s not true. The truth is it’s an annual celebration to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory of the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862.

This got me thinking of another annual tradition I used to have in watching Saturday morning cartoons and my man Speedy Gonzalez who famously used to say, “¡Andale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!”.

This basically means to hurry up, go, go.

This speaks to me and my style in how I approach most things. It can be a great strength I know I have. I also know it can get me in trouble, where I find myself taking on too much.

Many of us are competitive and that’s great. It’s good to push ourselves to be #1 but we don’t need to be #1 in every single thing in life.

So pick what you want to be #1 at and go HARD at that.

Work to be a #1 dad, a #1 husband, a #1 member of the community or #1 with your Fitness, Fellowship and Faith, etc.

Pick your priorities and hurry up, go, go at those only…that will give you even more to celebrate.

¡Andale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!” gentlemen.

Thanks for coming out today.

Prayers.
