Introduction

This will not be an out and back.  We will take a path that will require you to keep your wits about you a little. May give you some different looks than normal.

Get those 🦵 ready and bring that 🔥 to heat up The OP and HC below.

Got to AO early to set out lighted cones for a run where PAX would turn based on if cone was on or off, but not all paths were cleared and it was going to be dicey.  So decided to call audible and just stick with the continuous path South and east of the OP parking lot that was more cleared of snow.

It was brisk out there, but PAX started rolling in.  5:15…  5 core principles, mission, credo, disclaimer, checked who was CPR certified (thanks Fargo).  Let’s roll.

Warm-O-Rama

WoR:

  • Tappy Taps 8 IC
  • Imperial Walkers 8 IC
  • Mosey over to pavilion

The Thang

At the pavilion which was the start point of the run I laid out the plan to keep everyone to the continuous path around the baseball and softball fields.  One lap was ~1 mile so gave PAX a good sense of the distance they were covering.  Back to the flags by 5:55 for Mary.

Mary

  • American hammers 15 IC
  • Gas pumpers 20 IC
  • LBC’s 25 IC

Circle of Trust

Making sure to continue to grow the excellence of the F3 Naperville Region.

Have heard for multiple guys who have been out to other regions and upon returning to our region mentioning and reflecting on how well things are done here and how things just have a different feel here.  I think there is a lot to be said about that.  So just want to emphasize to not only appreciate what we have here, but also look to continue to help further strengthen and grow that excellence of this region.  Continue to accelerate across all 3 F’s and carry out the credo of leave no man left behind and leave no man where you found him.

Naked Man Moleskin

I appreciate more and more the benefits of the KISS technique (keep it simple stupid) over time.  While disappointed I couldn’t run my original plan which would have been dicey given the conditions, I am glad I went with a more simple plan for this run.  This also at least gives me the chance to run my plan at my next OP run club Q…so this is and advertisement for anyone reading this to come out to the next one 😉  I also learned that lighted vines don’t work the best in sub-zero conditions. thanks to Body Glide for covering the 6 like a champ and to those PAX that braved the elements.
