Introduction

Pre Blast:  The Later Start Time Outpost 6:15AM

First time Qing a Late Start.  Will be coming in hot from Two Wolves but will still warm up and get ready to go.  No coupons needed.  Stick around after the run club to get the full body experience.  Reusing a Q that just me and the site Q did the last time.  HC in the thread.

The Scene:  YHC was coming in hot from Two Wolves and my quest to hit every AO continuously until the launch of the Mammoth on January 6, 2022.  There were some Run Clubbers from the earlier time slot still stretching so I circled up the LST group a little further away than usual.

Mission statement

Our mission is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.

Warm-O-Rama

Motivators from 7

Monkey Humpers IC (4 count) x 20

Bat Wings IC (4 count) x 10 (forward, backward, seal clap, overhead)

Mosey further into the parking lot and plank around the speaker.

The Thang

BIG BANG

PAX form a small circle, everyone in a plank, shoulder-to-shoulder. Place an object in the center (in this case it was my speaker). Q calls out a number and an exercise. PAX stand up in an explosion of energy, run directly away from center of circle 10 yards/paces and do the exercise, then run back to the center and plank for the 6. Each PAX must find their own route away from the center of circle but the next round can’t start until all PAX return. Generally performed in increasing counts representing the ever-expanding universe.  At some point the playlist went completely wrong and played the softest Christmas jams of the last 50 years according to Shirley Temple.

Burpees x 10

Outlaws x 20 (10 each way)

Merkins x 30

Breakdancer Merkins x 40 – each side is 1

Squats x 50

Plank Jacks x 60

Carolina Dry Docks x 70

Mountain Climbers x 80 – each leg is 1

Big Boy Situps x 90

Side Straddle Hops x 100

I ran back to the center as quick as I could to change the music because at this point as Uncle Rico put it, “this is what serial killers listen to.”  So of course I changed it to Ramstein to cleanse the palette

Quick Merkin Ring of Fire – 5 Merkins per PAX

Mosey back to flags.

Mary

Cooler – low plank, then side plank (4 count) x 10 each side – (leg up – 1, leg down – 2, knee up – 3, knee down – count)

Freddie Mercury’s (4 count) x 20

Flutter kicks IC x 30

Heel Touches IC x 40

Recover, Recover

And of course Slipknot was playing now and Uncle Rico quipped, “this is also what serial killers listen to.”

Prayers

Pray for all that are sick.  Pray for all that feel lonely.

Thank you Lord for helping these men get after it today.  Thank you for protecting them and their families.  Please protect all the men of F3 and help them get better if they are sick, to give them the treatment that they need and to help stop the spread.  Amen.

Naked Man Moleskin

This is it.  Today is the day.  52 weeks, more than 52 Q’s and a goal achieved.  Next year, my goal is going to be putting in 1000 miles on Strava.  Running will be my primary focus but I will also count rucks.  As we close out the year, think about an achievable goal for yourself and go for it.  Ask for help if you need it.  I had to reach out to another region to keep my Q streak alive when I was on vacation.  I Q’d on the edge of a Florida golf course with signs that said watch out for gators.

Your goals are achievable.  In the words of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, “Make it so.”

Peace,

Cousin Eddie
