Circle of Trust

Disruption is the first chapter of Q-Source. Today, running 3.5 miles on a dark trail filling with stumps and trees and carrying logs all over back and forth was and is a tribute to disruption…

Quick story…(I share this time of year now for the 2nd time)

Two years ago, the Sunday after Thanksgiving I took my two year old daughter to Morton Arboretum. We had a great time. I remember driving home, we were super happy, singing Christmas Carols in the car. It was dark, and bad weather started to come the closer we got to home.

And then I pulled up to my drive way to see my wife at the time, standing there with her parents watching me pull in. I got out the car, and she immediately took my daughter away from me.

That’s when the world and life as I saw turned into slow motion…the look at my daughters face…staring back at me as she was being taken away…I’ll never forget it…it was the worst feeling I’ve ever experienced.

So…the South Bend Shovel Slayer…a reference to Home Alone…that’s where I’d be the rest of the night and for a long time ahead as my wife moved out and left me…home alone.

Three days later I checked into Rehab…if you’re reading this rehab for me was F3.

I posted at The Outpost. Rhinestone brought me in from our 16″ softball team. Trickle was on Q and about 15 other PAX were there. I was immediately hooked and to sum it up, I was on my way to Get Right.

I can go on but my point here is, two years later, I’ve spent with many of you Getting Right, to better Live Right, to better Lead Right with the hope one day I will better Leave Right.

I thank you all for coming out today. My life has done a 180. I have a beautiful relationship with my daughter, a new M, a new house and many new things that have been better in my life.

So continue to post, and push, and pull guys in. There are people just like me that need a place to rehab in many different ways. Thank you brothers for being here.

Prayers.

A 2nd reference to the South Bend Shovel Slayer…Kevin McCallister at one point thought he was a killer but once he got to know him better, he realized he was his savior…apply that to whatever you want my friends…
