Circle of Trust

In order to become the best version of yourself, you need to give up the old version of yourself.

Most of you know I ran the Chicago Super Sprint triathlon over the weekend. While I survived, I did not excel. Up to this point I had built my body to excel at football. This body doesn’t serve me anymore, as every extra pound slows my pace. To excel in the sport of triathlon I need to give up the old version of myself….in a minute I am going to ask you to think about what in your life doesn’t serve you anymore and prevents you from being who you want to become….but I want to give you one more example…the research shows that ice cold showers/baths aid recovery….so I gave up the comfort of hot showers to improve my recoveries by 4%. The comfort doesn’t serve my purpose. It’s not a sacrifice, it’s a choice to be great…..so now close your eyes for a few minutes and think about where you are and where you want to go. What’s no longer serving you? What do you need to let go of to be the best version of yourself.

Naked Man Moleskin

Never been to a RC here….Needed to change route last minute….and then again mid-route as Waubonsee coach didn’t want us on the field….We were on grass/trail most of the way and went over the hill.

Hopefully something a little different than a traditional out & back.
