CoT:

Today in history on October 29th Muhammed Ali fought his first professional fight.  Weather you liked him or not you had to respect his work ethic.  He trained & pushed himself harder than any one in his sport.  He has this great quote that says, “I don’t count the sit ups.  I only start counting when it starts hurting b/c they are the only ones that count.  That’s what makes you a champion.”  As many of you know I just recently participated in what was the hardest mental/physical thing I have ever done in Grow Ruck.  One of our Cadre’s who if you say his name, Schredder, to anybody that knows him strikes fear in their hearts.  Throughout Grow Ruck I tried to pick up on some words of wisdom & one of the things he said a number of times when you thought you could not go anymore was this, “People don’t care what you do when your fresh, they care what you do when your smoked.”  Similar to Ali’s quote this is so true in our life & it comes back to one basic principle which is at the heart of F3 & that is PREPAREDNESS.  For me I do this shit almost every morning not b/c it’s always fun or I get to talk to my Ninja buddies as my wife calls you guys, I do this b/c I want to be so mentally/physically broken or smoked every day b/c it is building my toughness.  Toughness for when those unexpected things happen I am ready to take them head on b/c I have been physically/mentally smoking myself day after day to be ready for those moments.  It is about to get really hard mentally men with the cold, political unrest, COVID shutdowns, depression, etc.  Now is the time to accelerate, take that daily red pill & get smoked every single day so you are ready to be leaders in our communities when the tough shit happens.  That is my challenge to you.  AYE!

Dear lord, thank you for this opportunity to wake up early in the gloom & experience your greatness.  We are humbled for the opportunity you give us every day to be in your glory & serve you as leaders in our communities.  Watch over those in our spoken prayers as well as those that are in our hearts that are not as fortunate as many of us & give them healing & strength in their struggles.  In your name we pray.  Amen!
