Introduction

Preblast – “The last few days have been stressful – so its time to work out some frustrations. Bring your COUPON – you’re going to lose it a lot. We’ll be exploring a big of the AO. Lots of great options tomorrow, so if you’re not posting HERE, make sure you’re posting SOMEWHERE.”

Over the weekend I wasn’t sure if this Q was going to happen. My mom went to the hospital Saturday afternoon, so (as the preblast said) it was a stressful few days. I appreciate Bean Counter and Cousin Eddie who were ready to step in and Q for me if I needed to leave town. Thankfully things have been improving so I was able to stay local and lead this Q.

I arrived to the AO around 5:00. I explored a bit to make sure my plans would work the way I had intended. Pax rolled in one by one, enjoy a few extra moments in the warmth of their cars before meeting in the parking lot. The clock hit 5:15 and it was time to get started!

The principles of F3 were shared and the disclaimer was given. Let’s go!

Announcements – Thanks Bean Counter!

Name-O-Rama

I wanted to begin by thanking all of the pax who have reached out over the past few days. My mom was admitted to the hospital because she had chest pain and trouble breathing. Any family health situation is stressful, but when your mom lives time zones away, it only complicates things further. Turns out she had blockage in two major arteries, but the doctors were able to put in stints successfully. She is now in recovery. I appreciate the support and prayers of my fellow pax these past few days.

One thing I noticed was that it is often during a crisis that relationships are mended. I have talked with family members in the last few days that I haven’t spoken to in years. While I celebrate this, it is also a shame. It should not take a crisis or a tragedy to bring people together. My challenge to everyone – rebuild relationships! Maybe there was conflict in the past, or maybe time and distance just got the better of you. Reach out to someone and reconnect. Don’t wait for the next crisis.

Naked Man Moleskin

As mentioned above, thanks to Bean Counter and Cousin Eddie who were ready to step in and Q for me if I needed to be out of town. I am thankful for the brotherhood of F3.

I said it already, but thanks to all of the pax who have prayed and reached out in support. Special shoutout to Title IX for his encouragement before leaving the AO today. It meant more than you probably realize.
