The Thang

We ran loops around Iron Lion.

  • North: Headed North around the hill, over the North bridge.
  • East: Made right turn after bridge along path.
  • South: Turned right heading South along the creek/baseball field path.
  • West: Turned right heading West along short straight away
    • Back North: Came up on back side of flags heading North to the hill again. Rinse and Repeat the loop.

Approximately 1.25 mile loop.

We ran to maximize distance for roughly 47 minutes straight.

Circle of Trust

This first week has been a lot for many of us.

Whether it’s working new work out plans like 75 hard, distance running, speed, strength, rucking goals. Some of us have new jobs, different jobs, new responsibilities. And on top, our country dealt with another major challenge this week.

It’s been a lot to work to tackle. One of my favorite authors is Brad Stulberg who writes on living a more real and sustainable life of health and wellness. Here are his 8 principles that make an impact in most anything:

  1. Stress + Rest = Growth
  2. Focus on Process, Not Results
  3. Practice Humility
  4. Build a Tribe
  5. Take Small, Consistent Steps to Achieve Big Gains
  6. Be a Minimalist to Be a Maximalist
  7. Make Hard Things Easier
  8. Remember to Experience Joy.

The last one for me is a big one for me personally.

Brad Stulberg has written two books which I highly recommend.

Thanks for coming out fellas.

Prayers.
