Introduction

Come join YHC for his AOVQ as we get ourselves warmed up for the F3 Naperville Golf Outing!  You’ll be piping 300 yard BOMBS off the tee, but still have enough touch left to make one of those tricky side hill three-footers.  Bring gloves, your coupon and shoes for any surface, as we may venture into the rough.  Drop your HC below and come get some!  Well… we’re waiting!

Weather- 70* and HUMID.  Pax started rolling into the lot as I returned from setting up the Q.  Lewinsky came in hot, hot, hot.  Enron got lost on the way.  Hopefully he makes it to Cantigny on time…

I am not a professional.  I am not aware of your injuries.  We are here to push ourselves but not hurt ourselves.  Modify as necessary.

It’s 5:15.  Let’s go!

Circle of Trust

I didn’t really plan much for COT, but with the golf outing today, it made me think of all the years I’ve been around the golf industry (Lewinky’s math determined that was 36 years), I’ve been asked for a lot of advice.  The best advice I can give, both in golf and in life, is to not let the last bad shot determine the outcome of your next shot.  It’s important to put the past in the past and remain focused on the present.  I’ve seen too many golfers try to hit a hero shot after duck hooking it behind a tree (OK, maybe that was me), and they only make the situation worse.  Instead, just play the smart, safe shot and set yourself up for success on the next shot.

We prayed for the Garcia family who lost their 16 year-old daughter after an attempted carjacking on the way home from a White Sox game…

Naked Man Moleskin

It was oppressively humid this morning, so bad that I couldn’t see outside this morning because of all the condensation on the windows of my house.  Nala and I joked that we would have been dripping if we had chosen instead to just take an easy stroll around the parking lot.

But this crew doesn’t get up for easy.  Despite the humidity, everyone pushed hard this morning and I think they are all better for it.

Happy Birthday Lawn Mower!

Until next time,

Judge
