An out and back run on the west side of the river trail going north.  Turn around after 18 minutes and come back.  We each ran 2 miles to the Sullivan Road bridge before turning around.  When we got back to La Luz AO, we took a lap on the pedestrian bridge.

Sun Devil noticed and called out my 6 pack schedule for Q’s this week while we are finishing Mary.  I planned this week about a month ago, as it’s leading up to my 1 year manniversary with F3 on Saturday(10/2).  It sounded like a good idea on paper.  Now that the week is here, we’ll see how it goes.

I’m sure my intro to F3 is similar to most PAX.  After a decade of very little exercise and some weight gain during exercise, Turner asked if I would join him, Bunyan and Last Call for a Friday morning workout.  The workout kicked my butt and confirmed that I needed to do more to get in better shape.  The coffeeteria after the workout got me hooked, as I enjoyed the F2 mumblechatter.  I tried posting 3 times/week for several months.  We had been watching Bunyan post 5 times/week, and I remember thinking that I could do more.  Around January 1, I decided to try my first 6 pack and come Saturday, Muggsy absolutely crushed me.

The workouts are a constant lesson in humility.  No matter how good you are or how good you become, there’s always room for improvement.  The same lesson can be applied to all aspects of life.

I love the F2 and F3 components of this group and I thank you all for pushing yourselves and each other every day.  Let’s end with the Lord’s Prayer.

Naked Man Moleskin

I pulled in to the parking lot just before 5 am to witness DJ Sump Pump running laps on the bridge.  I couldn’t really see far enough in the dark to identify who was running, but we got to chat shortly as he pulled up.  DJ Sump Pump is closing in on 100 miles in September!  Super impressive!

We had a great recovery run after the Ragnar and 5k races this weekend.  Bob Ross and I trailed Road Trip and got to hear all about the Ragnar weekend.  Just awesome!  Can’t express how impressed I am with all the guys who participated and pushed themselves through 200 miles collectively!
