  • Objective

Each team would run around the Dark Tower grounds and would have to find the 8 cones/notecards.  Their goal is to complete their notecard in color order.  If they found a cone/notecard and it wasn’t the first color on their notecard they would have to complete the listed exercise before moving on.  If they found their 1st color and completed the exercises, they would return to the flags/home base before they could move on to their next color.

Exercises completed:

50 merkins

20 burpees

12 bar ups (feet up to hands) hang while waiting for the 6 – at the Covered Bridge

Circle of Trust

My phone got too cold and died, but it went something like this:

COT:

Christian musician TobyMac lost his 21 year old son suddenly and had this to say:

“One thing I know is that I am not alone,” the statement continued. “God didn’t promise us a life of no pain or even tragic death, but He did promise He would never leave us or forsake us. And I’m holding dearly to that promise for my son as well as myself.”

Then it was reiterated by our pastor at Church this week

Why does everyone call out to God while in a crisis!? Even non Christians.  Because Weakness is powerful… It reminds us we aren’t in control and we need Him.  God yearns for us to call out to Him in a time of need. But how much more important then is it to call out to him when things are good!

Prayer requests:

Wet Wipes FIL

Prayer also for unspoken requests.

Naked Man Moleskin

So my Take aways:

Call out to God when in crisis… he’s there for us.  Much like we as fathers would do anything for our children in a moment of need.

But Don’t rely on ourselves when things are good.  So take an extra second today to look at your family and love on them.
