Introduction
It was a glorious day to be out in the gloom. Our site Q (Rhinestone) informed us that the wind chill had it feeling like -20 outside. The parking lot had been plowed, but was icy. The air was crisp. Rhinestone offered up that if the whole group agreed, we could kill the workout now and he’d buy coffee. In typical F3 Naperville fashion, the offer was declined and we got after it! We did agree however that if at any time that anyone felt unsafe or too cold that we’d end the workout early. Better to be safe and live to workout another day.

The Thang
Today, we celebrate SAINT VALENTINE, for whom this day formally celebrates. Ironically, a day known for love is actually a celebration of his martyr and death. So what better way to celebrate on a cold day than to do a little pearls on a string (SAINT VALENTINE style).

Circle of Trust
Today is about Love. It’s not something I’m naturally good at, and yet, my Faith is found in a God who literally is LOVE.
- The bible mentions love 348 times.
- 1 Corinthians 13:13 – Christ gave us Faith, Hope, and Love, but the greatest of these is Love.
- John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he sent his only son to die for us.
I pray that we reflect on this day, not as halmark holiday, but as an opportunity to express LOVE throughout all of our actions. Within our homes, workplaces, communities and so forth. Love can and should be shown in little ways every day. Being patient, kind, empathetic, caring, vulnerable, or even just listening are great ways to show love and I pray that we can all be better at this.
Lord we pray for all those who are out in the elements in weather like this throughout the world and that you’ll watch over and care for them to get through these hard times. We pray that you’ll be with us throughout this day and help us to show love to the world around us. In your name we pray, Amen.
