Introduction

@channel It is hard to believe that one year ago tomorrow marked the last BC prior to the COVID shutdown.  Start your morning off at THE OUTPOST with a blast from the past with a little Green Isle Shamrock Smackdown.  Are you feeling ☘️Come get faster, get stronger, get better.  Come Get Some!  Coupons required.  HC below.

For this workout, I planned to revisit the same workout that I led one year ago, as the last workout that we did at THE CITADEL before we shut down the AO’s due to this thing called Covid.  I found the Irish playlist that I used last year as well, so this week’s planning was pretty easy.

Wednesday morning came early, as I went to bed late and did not sleep well.  I got up, threw on my green shirt for St. Patrick’s Day, grabbed my speaker and made my way to The OP.  It was a 33 degree morning with dry conditions.  I arrived around 5 and was the first one to step foot in the lot.  I dropped off my coupon, agenda for the day, and the speaker and eased my way into the parking spot and waited for the troops to arrive.

The PAX trickled in and started to assemble around the flag.  5:15 hit and it was time to Fire things Up.

Closing Thoughts

This was the same workout I did 1 year ago to date at THE CITADEL.  It was the last workout before F3Naperville shut down for a few months due to Covid.  Who would’ve thought what the next year would bring.  I reflected on the fact that a lot of negative things happened over the last 12 months to many and we could all dwell on those items.  However, there is also good that came out of it – I got to spend more time with the kids, kids got along better (initially) and actually put down their devices and went outdoors, I eliminated my 2.5 hour a day round trip commute for work to name a few.  Now that things are starting to revert back to “normal”, take a moment to think of the good things that came out of this bad time and find a way to preserve it going back to the new “normal”.

Naked Man Moleskin

At the end of the workout we conducted an AAR where Elway informed me that I did an OK job and that I would need some work to get to his expertise level of Qing capabilities.  I agreed and vowed to do my best, so that one day, I can be as good as Elway.

Nice job today men.  You all crushed it.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day
