Introduction

After seeing day 1 of IPC Nation post an average time of 46 minutes I moved WoM to start at 5:05 and the first 400m run at 5:15. Joe Dirt and Upchuck and maybe a couple others missed that message as they rolled in at the usual time. They caught up quickly.

5-Putt, thank you for having my 6 with the scoreboard and arriving right when I did to talk through the plan.

Vern finished first at 30 minutes and change but all 25 Pax finished under 52 minutes. Very impressive for a large group. Nice work men.

Circle of Trust

Joe Dirt has a Joseph and Jesus Bible study tonight at 7pm at his house. Regardless of your religion, beliefs and background this is a great way to learn and seek out different points of views and perspective. In college I took a class on religion that had us seeking out other beliefs so that we could learn more about others. It helped give me a better understanding of others and to be open to other ideas and thoughts.

This is the start of football week and for the fourth year  running I don’t miss being part of something that I did with passion for 16 years. Why?

When we lost our first child and now have our now 3.5 year old daughter I realized I’m still part of something greater than myself, my family. This year added F3 that I never knew existed or that I needed before July. It’s been a blessing and I hope more men find this because they need it and don’t know it yet.

We are all part of something greater than ourselves and that’s really what life is all about. We weren’t designed to do it on our own and we don’t have to. And well that’s the beauty of it.

Doing IPC week 3 today would be pointless (outside of health benefits) to do on your own but doing it together creates community and a sense of accomplishment. Who can honestly say they would have woken up on thier own at 4 something, shown up and given max effort for the past hour to complete this? I know I wouldn’t have.

Think about all the bigger things you are part of in your life today and bring max effort and a positive attitude toward them. It will change you and others and provide some understanding of why we are floating around space on this multicolor ball called earth.

Naked Man Moleskin

Running four test laps yesterday at 4pm to test out and make sure distance was accurate was stupid. Because then I knew what I was getting into today. Should have used Calc Maps from the beginning.

Thank you again to 5-Putt for bringing the timer, helping set up and letting my excitement cut him off for anniuncements.

Bedpan thanks for the tunes!

25 men got better today. Thank you all for the opportunity to lead you in the gloom.
