Introduction

Total SausageFest!  Cincinnati Sausage Makers… we recently hosted a DR from the Queen City, Scrum, and he shared this with me, and tomorrow I will share with you!!! No coupons – they just scratch the sausage! Basically consists of a sausage-load of SSHs & Merkins.
We’ll also do solid stretch routine for min 5+ minutes post-Mary. HC and git sum sausage …

Warm-O-Rama

Pooh Bears – 10 in cadance (with Winnie the Pooh theme song playing)

Tappy Taps – 10 in cadence

The Thang

PAX lined up single-file.  Lead PAX performs 10 Merkins, then pulls to side counts to 10 and rejoins at end.  Remaining PAX mosey until last lead rejoins at end, and process repeats.  It repeated for 1.5 miles, and we covered a lot of the Iron Lion while listening to an eclectic range of music!

Nacho Libre requested some Erasure, and he was accommodated – for 3:04 of Oh l’amour as PAX performed LBCs to tempo of the song (slow when slow, fast when fast).

Finished with solid Head-to-Toe stretch routine, lasting approximately 8 minutes (much needed).

Key Takeaway: Keep It Simple, Keep Moving and Be Open to New Stuff

Keep It Simple – this Q was SSHs, Merkins and Moseying (simple, effective).  Simple is elegant.  Don’t over-engineer your lives.

Keep Moving – Life sometimes gets you down, but down get down with it ~ Keep Moving (no other option).  Shared YHC’s experiences over past months with elderly relatives’ health issues and funerals, as example.  Other examples are work BS, disagreements on the Home-front, dust-ups with kids, or general “disappointment” with life ~ whatever it is, accept it and Keep Moving (it’ll get better once you move).

Be Open to New Stuff – Everyone likes the familiar, but it can lead us into ruts.  Used music as example, as can listen to same old stuff, but the music list today ranged: techno, reggae, rap, speed metal, old punk, Motown, TSwift …  Beyond music, be open to new THANGS – read perspective on issues you’re against, take new project at work, mix up the meals on the Home-front.  Amazing stuff happens when the “new” enters your life.

Out.

Naked Man Moleskin

Preliminarily, thanks to Scrum (F3 Cincinatti) for introducing YHC to this exercise.

YHC was honored to see solid numbers – 12 – at the EIL 515!  The Early Saturday Qs have been trending lower, which is fine as life returning to “normal”ish as COVID starting to fade – hopefully; 2.0s’s sports pick up again; etc.  Respect and thanks.  Backdraft wins first-on-scene award, and gave chance for some good chatter pre-Q.

Glass Joe gave Cousin Eddie some grief for a late arrival, but we were working out the awkwardness of the tempo (so good thing, as gotta bring A-game for Cousin Eddie – one of F3 Naperville’s top poster overall).  Enjoyed chatting Lobstah Roll on virtues of Tundras – had 3 in the lot ITG.  Great to connect more with Dutch, Daisy & Stuffed Crust (appreciate the backstory on the name).  Great to see Sulley reemerging post-injury (no pressure, slow and healed wins the long-game).  Ghost Pepper thanks for coming out, and await your next Q since missed the first.  Kinda glad Rainman pulled the EC run ~ as I double-tapped, an EC might have wrecked me.  Nacho always brings the spark to ignite the mumblechatter – thank you!

Lastly, amazing number of dudes doing the double-tap (apologies, didn’t expect us to cover 1.5 miles and non-stop SSHs before RC).

Keep moving brothers > OUT.
