Introduction
In May Agronomy posted in group text a time of 30ish minute 5K. 5K was OYO and completed by rinse and repeating a run up and over the hill at the Citadel. YHC kept this in the back of my mind to use as a future Citadel Q.
Weather was perfect the morning of as the PAX arrived. We wasted no time…
Warm-O-Rama
SSH 20 IC – To ensure no last second non HCd PAX showed up
Mosey to the south side of the hill.
- Karaoke south and north
- High Knees
- Butt Kickers
- Skipping
All were thrown into the mosey.
Showed the PAX the turn around tree on the South side and we continued our mosey over the hill/race path to the starting tree.
The Thang
Started on the North side of the hill next to the tree closest to the path. Ran up and over the hill turning around was a marked tree on the South side of the hill and ran back up and over. This counted as 1 “lap. PAX completed 6 total laps for a total of 3.1 miles.
No Mary as the race went to the wire (6 am)
Circle of Trust
There won’t always be a motivator or a reason to do something. Sometimes you just need to get up and do the work. That is exactly what the group did today. There was no trophy, prize money, etc. Just work to get a little better.

Naked Man Moleskin
Dropped the ball on getting everyone’s times, but the “race” was not the important part. The entire time PAX were encouraging each other as they passed. Every single one finished the 6 laps and got better. So did our brotherhood.
