Wanna Be a Baller
Join us at The Complex tomorrow for some Saturday morning basketball – drills & team competition. Bring dark & light shirt and a basketball or two if you have some for dribble drills. I’ll have a couple extras on hand. No coupons needed.
1. Good morning, welcome to F3, I’m Turner. This is a free, outdoor, participant-led, boot camp-style workout that is open to all men and that ends with a circle of trust
2. You are here of your own voluntary choice and at your own risk
3. I am not a professional and I am not aware of any injuries you may have

This week there was a bomb threat called into Naperville North High School, jewelry store robbery and two bank robberies, including one about a half-mile north of here on Washington. That robber fled and escaped on foot. Many of us live nearby. As I was going to bed late on Wednesday, I was especially aware of threats to my family’s safety. I went around making sure all our doors were locked and as I was walking up the stairs to bed I encountered my daughter standing scared at the landing on top of the stairs. Then we heard a car coming down our street. We looked out and saw a police squad. And I was thankful again, as I am so often, for all of the police officers who work overnight so I can sleep soundly and who pursue, catch and bring to justice evildoers. I was again reminded that because they sacrifice and serve I don’t have to stand constant watch over my family or pursue criminals.
Then I thought about God. How have God also sacrificed and served me doing that which I could not do and giving me peace. In the Bible John writes that Jesus said “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” It’s an incredible message. We will have trouble, but we can take heart because Jesus overcame the world.
I encourage us not to procrastinate pursuing our faith. Our days are numbered and tomorrow is not promised. Consider finding the peace found through knowing you have wrestled with and pursued your faith.

Lord, there is none like you. We praise you this morning and marvel at your creation. Thank you for these bodies that perform better the harder we work them. Thank you for blessing us with positive relationships and opportunities to work together for positive impact. We pray that we will serve others where there are needs. Thank you for the men and women who serve in law enforcement and public safety and prayers for their safety. Prayers for Mary. Prayers for the F3 5K tomorrow. Please protect us, continue to bless us and help us serve others, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Rolled up about 6a and through the mist saw a ghost on our court. Upon investigating it was just Smokey warming up while listening to Disney music on his phone.
Great to see Sir Topem Hatt back in the gloom. True baller.
