The Thang

Thang 1:  Super 11’s

Back and forth over the little hill by the book drop.

Instead of normal 1-10, 2-9, 3-8…we did all that x10, so 10-100, 20-90, 30-80…

To break up the monotony there were two exercises on each side to rotate through, so curls/chest presses on one side, SSH/high knees on the other.

10 curls – 100 SSH

20 chest presses – 90 high knees

30 curls – 80 SSH

100 chest presses – 10 high knees

Thang 2:  Jack Webb’s

Circle of Trust

Today is the last day of school for me and it is supposed to be a day of fun and wrapping things up.  I should be spending my day with 300 7th graders at Bowlero, bowling and playing video games and laser tag, then ending the day with yearbooks and goodbyes.  Instead, the clock will uneventfully hit 3:00 and the school year is over.  No closure.  The last 2+ months has been difficult for teachers trying to reach all our students, and not being able to celebrate and have that closure is really difficult.  But there were some positives I’ve taken from at-home teaching. I’ve learned 5/6 new websites/applications that I can now implement more regularly.  I’ve seen kids show resolve and perseverance to be responsible and work hard in difficult situations.  Everyone is at a different place but trying to find a positive can be a powerful thing.

Prayers for all the F3Naperville PAX and all other AO’s around the Midwest meeting in the gloom right now.  May there be health and strength and comfort for us all, and let us lift each other up as much as we can.

2.0 Fruit Salad was in my math class this past year.  We talked about running and exercising quite a bit throughout the year in school, but this was the first time I’ve seen her at a post.  It’s always cool to see current/former students doing great things outside of school, so it was pretty funny to see her kicking ass this morning in the buggy gloom.
