Circle of Trust

Just let it happen.

I told story of rafting on Ocowee River in TN.  Raft guide would steer us into rocks to prepare us for rapids.  Every time we would near a rock we would yell, “Just let it happen!”  This helped us stay loose for the more exciting parts of our adventure.  Steer yourself into rocks and just let it happen.  See how you react and train yourself to deal with obstacles.  Be both the riders in the raft AND the guide.  EH those FNGs to challenge themselves as well.  Shout out to @Wine in a Box who stepped up and took a BDQ for first time and ran straight into a rock.  Came out stronger on other side.

Naked Man Moleskin

You don’t realize the importance of a really good SiteQ, until you have to lead 28 PAX that includes 4 FNGs.  Cousin Eddie recognized this immediately and assisted Sulley as SiteQ.  I didn’t appreciate this until after we were done and I reflected on how smoothly things ran and how poorly things could have gone.  Sulley did a great job and Cousin Eddie is one hell of an aware PAX with tons of experience.

Not related to workout, but I went on camping trip with Patchouli, House Arrest, Bjorn, and Faceplant.  That was the most fun I have had in a long time.  We shared so many laughs and shared some of our struggles as well.  Really great to hear about our past moments of weakness and how and why we are working toward getting stronger.
