Introduction

Got up to run some EC to keep up with Ragnar. I had pulled together the workout last night. And I wrote the COT message. Not afraid to admit I teared up while writing it. I knew today would be special. But I didn’t want to make it all emotional. We deserve a good beat down regardless if this ends today or not. For everythin there is a season.

Warm-O-Rama

Um… I think we did SSH, Good mornings, Imperial Walkers, and Arm Circles. Sure. yeah.

The Thang

Thang 1:
100m Run
4x4x4 (start in burpee motion, but do 4 merkins on the down, then right into 4 mountain climbers, then stand back up like a burpee. do that 4x)
Repeat 5x

Thang 2:
Run 100m
10 Surfer burpees
Run back
20 curls, chest press, rows
Repeat 5x

Thang 3:
200 LBC cause why not.

MoM:

We had just torched our core, so I went with high plank, left/right arm for 2 minutes. Then finished with 100 SSH.

Naked Man Moleskin

Words don’t work right now. So I’ll tell a story. A story of last-minute, late night meetings between 6 men, trying to figure out what a stay at home order meant for a group of guys who worked out together outside in the morning. Trying to figure out how to keep the momentum moving for nearly 500 men looking for direction when the world seemed to be coming to a stop.

Information was scarce, misleading, schools and stores and restaurants were closing. We were masking up and washing hands for 20 seconds. We stopped going into the office. Stopped visiting our vulnerable family.

The difficult decisions we made we knew would drive a gap into our brotherhood. We had deep division happening, we had ugly fights spill into slack. Men we thought we knew suddenly taking sides and lines drawn through disagreement. And that’s the last thing any of us wanted.

There was a lot unknown, a lot of uncertainty, a lot of emotion and passion, a lot of right, a lot of wrong.

And that’s where Virtuosity started. It was one way to bring the best of what we could bring of F3. It wasn’t perfect. And we weren’t quite sure how it would work. We had to test out a few things and modify as necessary. And it was never the plan to keep this alive forever. But it wasn’t also the plan to have it spark F3 in new places, or answer the need of men traveling, or provide a way to connect when schedules didn’t.

It became a place to grow, to challenge, to reach far beyond a park in Naperville or Oswego.

The bro garage. F3 Tri-County. Flutie Flakes and F3 Granite. Car seat and F3 Brooklyn. F3 Kenya! F3 Dortmund even joining. The dozens of men who made Virtuosity their first post or their VQ. Fire stations, Winnebago’s, boardwalks, beaches, mountains, and stupid, stupid Iron PAX.

Virtuosity was the best of F3.

Free.
Open to all men.
Held outdoors rain or shine.
Led in a peer rotating fashion.
And always ending in a circle of trust.

Thank you men. Just cause the zoom link goes away doesn’t mean we do. F3 is all of us, no matter where we are.

LEAVE NO MAN BEHIND. LEAVE NO MAN WHERE YOU FOUND HIM.
