Introduction

March Madness!!!

You ready to lace up those sneakers and leave it all on the court?  Your team called and wants to see if you have what it takes.  No basketballs will be needed but you’ll feel like you’re ready to carry your team to victory!  (No actual basketball skills or knowledge needed for this one)

Required – coupon and court / pavement shoes

HC Below if you are ready for One Shining Moment

Warm-O-Rama

Led the Pax with:

Motivators from 5, Tappy Taps, Shoulder Circles, One Lap around the lot (about 400M)

The Thang

YHC drew out stations with the parking lot lights as the basketball hoops.  No hoops were actually needed for this, just trying to keep people thinking about moving around the half court.  The conditions on the basketball courts were still wet and icy.  No good for this.

4 half courts were made with 8 stations each to have each Pax at his own spot.  Sets were done in 45 second increments with 15 seconds to rest / move for 2 sets through.  The third set through was 30 seconds of work / 15 seconds of rest.

Stations consisted of: Bobby Hurleys, Chest Pass / Bounce pass motion with a coupon, Side Straddle Hops, Squat Thrusters, Big Boys, Overhead Press, Side/Back Sprints, Shoulder Taps

Got back into the circle for some Mary with Merkins, American Hammers, Slow Squats, Low Planks, and some stretching.

Circle of Trust

Talked today about how the NCAA Tournament is win or go home.  The best teams don’t always win because if they don’t bring it, they leave themselves open.  The teams that believe in themselves and push themselves are usually the more successful teams in a one and done environment.  You have to bring it every day and make yourself better.  Someone brought you to F3 one day.  Remember them.  Taking a day off opens the door for someone to get better than you.  Focus on bringing it every day in your work, your family life, and your faith.  If you feel slow, reach out to the group for strength, that’s what it is here for.

Ended with an Our Father.

Naked Man Moleskin

Wow!  I am truly humbled at the outpouring of support and number of Pax that came to celebrate my VQ today.  It is way easier being on the outside of the circle than in the middle, but it’s a great feeling seeing the men working through a routine that you’ve created.  So many people that have helped me to get where I am now and I want to thank each of them for getting me there.

Dorn wins best dressed.  Rocking the Chuck Taylor’s AND the short shorts / Larry Bird Jersey.  Very well played sir!

I messed up my timing a bit on the Thang.  I had it planned out and adding that 8th station changed my timing a bit.  I wish I had kept the Pax working a bit longer in the half courts and shortened the circle by a few more minutes at the end.  I’ll get better at that and hopefully that wasn’t too evident.

I was happy with the execution of the Thang.  Really wished I could have used the basketball courts for this since we have been in the snow/ice/parking lot so long, but it felt different at least so I liked it.  I know BabyHands wanted to slay me for not participating at the very beginning. I just wanted to make sure the thang was moving along as I hoped – Didn’t want 30 HIMs being pissed all at once because I didn’t explain something well.

Hearing the leader call out the cadence each day makes sense.  Doing it as you lead is a whole new element.  Need to focus more on getting the men ready to exercise and get things started together.

At the end of the day, I’d say I survived and will advance!  Big thanks to my 6 – Ebeneezer!
