Introduction
I would say it was the calm before the storm, but it was anything but calm. The planted flag was pulled taught the wind was blowing so hard. Such a great way to start out a cold Monday morning before hopefully they last snowfall of the year.

The Thang
Out and back; pick your own pace run. We headed out from the AO towards Whalon Lake with the wind in our faces and in approximately 20 minutes got to turn around and let the wind help carry us back.
We ended the run with a bit of stretching for the legs.
Runners Stretch; Pigeon; Quad; Hamstring; and finished with Calf.
Circle of Trust
Yesterday something reminded me of a speech given by David Foster Wallace. It was a commencement speech from 2005 titled “this is water”. Some of you may have heard this speech before. Either way I would recommend a listen. 23 minutes long, but an interesting take on what is the value of education. In synopsis, it is a speech about being “Well-Adjusted”. The speech revolves around how the default human setting is being self centered and the world revolves around ME, but the well adjusted person is someone who can choose to step outside yourself. To choose to view the world through someone else lens. It all comes down to choice, there may be moments, minutes, hours, or days which you choose to be focused solely on your own interests. But realize the true power of the educated man is the ability to choose. Choose to be engaged, present, and understand that the world does not revolve around you. That there are always two sides to a story and each is right in the others mind.
