One thing has been on my mind lately is our fallen brother Noonan.  His birthday is coming up on 1/27 along with the day he passed on 1/31.  This is a good time to focus on listening to our bodies and get checked out if it is needed.

Thank you to Flatliner for the following post;

I was asked to post a follow up to our discussion today at TC.  Working in heart surgery, I recommend all to schedule and get a “heart scan” at Edwards hospital, or whichever hospital your must comfortable with,  if they perform them. We feel they’re a better diagnostic tool than any stress test. It will give you a calcium score, which gives an excellent indication to the amount of plaque you will have in your coronary arteries. With me, it saw I had an aneurysm on my ascending aorta.  It saved my life. The test is like a simple 30 second cat scan, with no needles. You don’t need a prescription for it, schedule it yourself through their website, or central schedule at 630-527-2800. Insurance doesn’t cover it, but it’s only $75. It’s good to be proactive. Reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
