Introduction

This was the last day of the challenge with F3 Louisville, so PAX came out in numbers to the only option at 5:15.

The scene was a dreary misty 33 degrees. Around 2 inches of either snow or slush on the ground. YHC ran the parts of the AO and determined that plans needed to be altered for # of PAX and for some icy conditions.

Preblast eluded to rolling around in the snow so YHC felt obligated to deliver.

Warm-O-Rama

High Knees OYO 1 minute to loosen up
30 High Knees in Cadence
20 Tappy Taps in Cadence – YHC noticed flying snowballs when pax stood up, so for shoulder safety…
25 arm circles in cadence, both forward and backward.

Mosey to pavilion between baseball fields. Run in the grass, watch for ice on sidewalks!

In green space between fields, circle up
25 Mountain Climbers in Cadence.

The Thang

Thang 1: Squats
20 Tempo Squats – down for 2 counts, up for 2 counts
20 Tempo Squats – Down for 1 count, up for 3 counts
20 Tempo Squats – Down for 3 counts, up for 1 count

Thang 2Descending Ladders

Pax formed groups of 5, and had to complete exercises with groups. Exercises in the ladders were PCMBs and Hand Release Burpee. Pax started behind cones near pavilion and completed 1 Hand Release Burpee, then ran to other cones (near the outfield gate) and completed PCMBs then returned to first cones and did 1 Hand Release. Exercises and running must be completed in group. When done, hold squat for 6, so it went like:

1 Hand Release Burpee > Run > 10 PCMBs > Run > 1 Hand Release Burpee > Run 8 PCMBs and so forth.

Thang 3: Descending ladders again!!!

This time, exercises were reversed, and the countdown was 5,4,3,2,1. So:

1 PCMB > Run > 5 Hand Release Burpee > Run > 1 PCMB > Run > 4 Hand Release Burpees and so forth.

Hold Plank or Squat for 6. This took longer than expected because 1 PAX was ambushed by snowballs during the thang. Instructions were to not aim at the face, so attackersaimed a bit lower, and unfortunately one hit a bulls eye just below the waist…

Thang 4: Curls for the Gurls!

Mosey the long way around and back to the flags, circle up.

10 Coupon Curls in Tempo – up for 3, down for 1
10 Coupon Curls in Tempo – up for 1, down for 3
15 Coupon Curls, bottom half, in cadence (so 45 bottom half curls)

Mary

25 Plank Moguls in Cadence (Start in plank, jump legs in and twist to the left, jump back to plank, jump in and twist legs to the right)
Superman/Banana rolls on YHC Command (banana is like superman, but on your 6) Mumble Chatter commenced and PAX were excited about this exercise!!
Hold Plank. Hold Left Side Plank (Right arm up, look up). Hold Right Side Plank (Left arm up, look up)

Circle of Trust

So when YHC signed up to Q, it was not known that we would be competing with F3 Louisville, and had a CoT Planned, but reflecting on this week it was amazing to witness the power of the F3 group, and sharing the thought of what we are a part of seemed more appropriate.

Not just as a group of men in Naperville, and while we get together to be better leaders, fathers, and people, it is more like a movement that we are part of than a simple organization. This was especially true as we competed against another region, and came out in force, specifically on Tuesday for #RyleighStrong to support another groups cause. It’s humbling and awesome to see what we are a part of.

Prayers – thank you God for the beautiful weather this morning, the bodies to get out of bed, and the HIMs that get together every day to push each other to be better and stronger. Please call out any prayers that you would like to group to know. Also, prayers for anything kept in the silence of our hearts.

Amen

Naked Man Moleskin

Thank you all for coming out, supporting me and trusting me to get your Saturday started off right. Rusty, hopefully you caught your breath.

Hopefully all PAX feel like some fun in the snow was had this morning, because YHC had a blast!
