Introduction

As I opened the garage to set my cones up for suicides what did my wandering eyes see…..SNOW!!!  Apparently mother nature wanted a reminder to all her great power. As the PAX arrived Dilly explained the workout & the group set out on a quick mosey followed by 5 minutes of warm-a-rama.

After a little additional explanation & some technical issues the men started to begin filling out their 10…40’s (see thang 1) below.  Huffing & puffing was loud through the speakers as men returned from their suicide, burpee, bunny hop routine but the men pushed through.

They finished the beat down by double checking their 10…40’s with Captain Thor working up to 10 & 40.  Dilly lead the group through one of his favorite college football poems before Elway & Curds crashed the call for coffeteria.  Good times had by all!!!

It’s All In the State of Mind

by Walter D. Wintle

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think that you dare not, you don’t,

If you’d like to win, but you think you can,

It’s almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost,

For out in the world you’ll find

Success begins with a fellow’s will

It’s all in the state of mind.

Think big, and your deeds will grow;

Think small, and you’ll fall behind;

Think that you can, and you will

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are out-classed, you are;

You’ve got to think high to rise;

You’ve got to be sure of yourself

before You ever can win a prize,

Life’s battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster man;

But soon or later the man who wins

Is the man who thinks he can.

I think this is a good lesson for all of us right now.  The situation we are in now is not necessarily how physically strong you are or about matter of mind but this is about how mentally tough you are on & mind over matter.  It is not easy to go at this alone & you are all commended for showing up this morning.  Take some of that mental toughness you have & be sure to show the same mental toughness throughout your days when you are at your job being a good husband, father, or friend.  There are other F3 Naperville men that might need some mental toughness encouragement right now so don’t leave them behind send a message check in on them & watch over your brothers.

Dear lord thank you for this opportunity to wake up early in the gloom & experience your greatness.  We are humbled for the opportunity you give us every day to be in your glory & serve you as leaders in our community.  Watch over those that are not as fortunate as many of us & give them healing & strength in their struggles.  In your name we pray.  Amen!
